Solidarity Leave: FAREVA Employee Lydia Shares Her Experience in Cameroon
At FAREVA, employee engagement can also take on a solidarity dimension.
This year, several employees across the Group have chosen to take part in a Solidarity Leave mission, supported by the FAREVA Foundation in partnership with Planète Urgence.
Among them is Lydia Protin, Project and Operation Coordinator, who travelled to Cameroon to put her professional skills at the service of a meaningful project.
A solidarity mission in Cameroon
During her mission, Lydia contributed to a training programme focused on the creation of project planning and management tools.
The objective was to share practical methods and tools to help local teams better structure, monitor and manage their projects.
This experience gave Lydia the opportunity to use her expertise in a very different environment from her day-to-day work, while contributing to an international solidarity initiative.
Solidarity Leave: another way to share professional skills
A Solidarity Leave gives employees the opportunity to dedicate part of their time to a mission of general interest, drawing on their skills and professional experience.
Through its partnership with Planète Urgence, the FAREVA Foundation supports employees who wish to get involved in field-based missions and share their know-how with local organisations.
Beyond the mission itself, this type of initiative encourages knowledge sharing, human connection and exposure to new professional and cultural environments.

Four FAREVA employees involved this year
In total, four FAREVA employees have taken part or will take part in a Solidarity Leave mission this year.

Through these initiatives, the FAREVA Foundation continues to support solidarity projects while giving employees the opportunity to engage in a different and meaningful way.
